The Power of Music

Mar 23, 2023

Last summer, Tracey reached out to us after she took her parents to see A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical at the Emerson Colonial Theatre and her story moved our team so much we just had to share here (with her permission!).

Read Tracey’s touching story with her dad and experience the power of music!

“My parents and I went to your musical for the second time today, it was even better than when we went in July if that’s possible! My dad has Alzheimer’s and he’s in his 80s. He saw the musical for the first time in July and is still talking about it which has been amazing to us. He wanted to go again so the three of us went today. Amazing amazing performances! My dad got weepy by the end. You are going to take Broadway by storm!

He was so excited. Right before the show began he asked me twice if I had been before, he didn’t remember that I had but he remembered he had and he loved it. He would see the commercials on TV for the musical and give my mom the side glance to say ‘remember you have to take me again.’ When we got home yesterday he told us he’d even like to see it again on Broadway.”

After chatting with Tracey, we asked if we could share her story, she responded with:

“We do not mind if you share our story. Maybe another family going through a similar situation can see your show and have it impact their loved one like it has us. I spoke with my mom yesterday, she said my father is still talking about the show. She asked if I would be up for a day trip on the train to take him to see A Beautiful Noise on Broadway. ♥️ How could I say no?”
